On this site setup we will never be allowing people to purchase, just request quotes for certain products (and may institute different pricing for different roles in the future) but for now this site is only going to be used for providing a catalog interface where wholesale buyers can set up quote requests for our sales people. That being said what is the best / proper / easier way to set up your plugin to allow unregistered users to view the site pages, registered users to view the catalog and request quotes BUT hide the Woocommerce sales interface entirely? Any advice would be super helpful! TY
Generally the only way to request quotes and also hide the woocommerce sales interface at the same time is through using the "Replace Prices with Request a Quote" option.
If you also want to hide the catalog from unregistered users, you can do it like this:
1) in B2BKing ->Settings -> Access Restriction -> Guest Access Restriction choose "Hide Shop & Products". This option hides products in the shop.
(Another way to hide products is through visibility settings in category/product pages)
This is what guest users will see:
2) in B2BKing->Dynamic Rules-> You can create a "Replace Cart with Quote Request" dynamic rule for Logged in Users only:
This way, guest users can't see the catalog at all, while logged in users can only request quotes.
