Hi, I am somehow lost on how to use B2BKing

I was of the opinion when I purchased the plug-in, that I can use the B2BKing features in Elementor Pro. However, this seems not to be the case. I am trying to make a log-in / registration form and to customize it, but I cannot find any controls to do that. (Something like the "Kontakt" form on the Webpage and the registration in the login pop up "Anmelden" ).

Although your description is quite comprehensive it lacks examples on how to go about in practice or at least some tutorial on YouTube.

I am new to WordPress etc. So far I have done Websites the traditional way, so I might be missing something.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards

    Lorenzo

    Hi Lorenzo,

Thank you for purchasing the plugin,

I suppose it depends on what exactly you are trying to achieve, but generally speaking you should be able to use the plugin with Elementor.

For example, if you want to add the registration form in a login popup: you could add the shortcode [woocommerce_my_account] in that popup - B2BKing adds registration items to that shortcode. Or you could use one of our other registration shortcodes [b2bking_b2b_registration] or [b2bking_b2b_registration_only] - add these to your elementor popup. Elementor has a "Shortcode" option / widget you can add inside the popup.

Then the registration form fields would be controlled in B2BKing->Registration Fields.

Feel free to send us more details / screenshots of what you're doing and if I can help, I'd be happy to do so.

    Kind regards,

    Stefan

    Hi Stefan

    Thanks for you suggestions.

I have tried that. Adding the [woocommerce_my_account] shortcode will display a rudimentary form.

Adding [b2bking_b2b_registration] will display only the shortcode. Clicking apply doesn't change anything. (Previouly when trying to apply it stayed on a blank page forever until I cancelled.)

The actual webpage does display the form. However, it cannot be edited and  formatted in Elementor.

    Top is the woocommerce shortcode

    Any Ideas?

    Hi Lorenzo,

    1)

    That's a normal behaviour.

Builders like Elementor (or Divi/Oxygen/Builder etc.) are not capable of editing any element in a WP site. They're not that smart. Elementor can only edit widgets/elements that were specifically programmed for Elementor.

    2)

I think the reason the Preview window doesn't display the b2bking form is because [b2bking_b2b_registration] actually uses another shortcode inside it (shortcode-ception) - Elementor probably doesn't know how to render that.

I believe [b2bking_b2b_registration_only] would probably display correctly in the preview window - but it still wouldn't be editable or formattable that way.

    3)

To control the options in the "User Type", you can go to B2BKing->Registration Roles, and add/edit/delete options there. To control their order in the dropdown, each role has a "sort order" field in its settings".

To control the fields, you can go to B2BKing->Registration Fields. Those also have a "sort order" field.

To control the styling and design, you can use custom CSS. However, what most web agencies do is they use popular themes such as Flatsome, Avada, Shopkeeper, WoodMart. B2BKing is compatible with all themes, and the form design will follow the theme design (it uses the same standard classes).

In my experience, what most web agencies do is start with popular themes, and then create "Child" themes to customize the design based on the client's wishes.

Personally I also think that's the best way to go, since popular themes will already have been on the market for years, and have a lot of features, options and have already solved lots of problems such as responsiveness, compatibility issues, security, etc.

    Kind regards,

    Stefan
