Why are DYNAMIC RULES (specific discounts for specific roles) not complied when I setup a new order in the WooCommerce backend for a user with that specific role?
When I use this account on the frontend to setup a new order it does work. Why it that?
To configure wholesale prices and discounts, the plugin uses several “hooks” that are present only on the frontend, and require the front-end cart system.
Without the frontend cart, unfortunately we’re not able to apply these same discounts for manual backend orders. To the best of my knowledge, most wholesale plugins have this limitation.
For creating manual orders for a customer, we would suggest logging in as that customer, which can be done easily with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/login-as-user/
It will add a "Login as " button for each user as seen below:
