Presale question about prices and users

    Dear Support,

I am interested in purchasing the plug-in, but have two questions that I have not found answers to.

Is there an upper limit on the number of customer groups. I have 30 customers at the moment, who each have different prices and I would like to create separate price lists for each of them. This would be easier for me to manage than through dynamic rules.

The second question is whether it is possible to view prices from the user view. That is, when I am in the view of a single customer I would like to see all their prices for all products

I would be grateful for an answer.

    Best regards
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Thank you for getting in touch with us,

    1) There is no upper limit on customer groups, and it would work fine to have 30 groups.

However, I want to mention to you that if you got to 100+ groups some issues could start occurring with this approach - it may become difficult to edit products, because each group has its own price fields in the product page backend. For example with 200 groups, it would mean 500 input fields which could make it slow to edit products or crash the browser page.

So 30 should work fine, but if you believe it will get to over 100 eventually, you may want to consider using dynamic rules instead - perhaps creating these rules in bulk via REST API to speed up the process.

    2) If you'd like the customer to have a page where they can view all products and prices, I would suggest looking at using B2BKing's bulk order form with the cream or indigo theme.

It would create a page such as this one where the user can scroll down and see all products and prices:

Let me know if I can help with anything, or if you have any questions,

    Kind regards,

    Stefan

    Thank you for your reply.

And do you plan in the future to add the functionality of editing prices from the user view in the back office?

Our sales department would very much like to edit individual prices.

We are open to this and we would like to add a way to make it easier to configure individual price lists. We are open to suggestions.

Our plugin already has a price import / export module that can be used to configure products via a CSV file.

Would it work in your scenario if we added a dropdown to choose a particular customer when doing this? That way it could be possible to export prices for that particular user, edit them, and then re-upload the CSV.

    Thanks for reply.

This is a good solution, but still optional for us.

Our scenario is as follows: a salesman visits our customers and would like to see the prices of a given customer in real time. And therefore we thought that the best solution would be to view and edit prices in the Dashboard -> users -> specific user.

Because at the moment we have about 30 users with individual prices, but we are planning to have already 100 such customers in 2023, so the dynamic rules with a larger number will not be very readable.

    Hi Chris,

What I would like to suggest to you is that you check out our SalesKing sales agents plugin: https://kingsplugins.com/woocommerce-b2b/salesking

With SalesKing, agents have an easy to use 'Shop as customer' button that will log them in as that customer, where they will see prices exactly as that customer sees them.

The agent can also place an order on behalf of the customer while in this mode.

SalesKing has a variety of features for sales teams. Sales agents have a dedicated front-end dashboard (without needing to access the site backend). From this dashboard they can view a list of customers assigned to them, place orders on behalf of customers, create coupons for customers, save and share carts, and a lot more.

You can also for example set up commission rules and agents can view their earnings in the dashboard.

SalesKing and B2BKing will work great together and have various integrations between them.

    Kind regards,

    Stefan

Agents can even edit the price while in cart (so for example when a salesman visits the customer they can negotiate pricing).
