Hi, My clients now do not want the vendor's contact details to show on the site, so want to restrict the messaging between customer and vendor so that email addresses and phone numbers are filtered out. Similar to AliExpress do I think. Do you have a script for this, or can you suggest where I could get one. I am only average on coding so would probably need help with the PHP or other integration. Thanking you in advance. Greg
Is there a specific place where the email/phone shows and you'd like it to be hidden? I can probably help out with a code snippet to do that , if so, let me know / please send a screenshot of where that is.
Or do you mean like a system which automatically scans messages and filters out emails and phone numbers?
Probably harder to achieve. I could send you a code snippet that allows you to modify messages via PHP before they're posted.
But to be honest, I think it's probably pointless/impossible, because users could always find a workaround like email*at*mail*dot*com or *+44*232*32*55* which a simple script wouldn't be able to detect. Or users could simply send a link to an image or text file which contains the contact details.
