I plan to build a services marketplace like Thumbtack and want to know if it is possible to customize the marketKing Wordpress plugin for this scenario or you have any other suggestion on how to accomplish this.
In addition, I would like to know how well is visualized in mobile formats and optionally if you have some kind of KIT or the like to get this marketplace ported to a mobile app (iOS and Android).
The plugin supports selling services through standard WooCommerce functionality. A service product would have to be set as a "Virtual" product. You can read more about it here: https://avada.io/woocommerce/docs/sell-services.html
MarketKing can also force all products on your site to be virtual if you have a services marketplace.
I am not very familiar with Thumbtack so I couldn't speak to how they compare, but if you have any specific questions, please let me know.
The marketplace site created will work well on mobile, depending on the theme you use (themes are usually responsive and work on all screen sizes).
At the moment we have no option for mobile apps, although this is something we are working on and we expect it will come later this year.
