In this particular case, this is controlled by a regex in our scripts. It is not something that can be changed with a code snippet unfortunately.
If you'd like, I can help to change it by modifying the public.js file of the plugin directly. However, that would mean this change would need to be done each time the plugin is updated - the change would get lost when updating.
I notice the minimum characters required to setup a new subaccount username is 8 characters, can this be reduced? 4 character min would be ideal
