I'm using Heteor Social login plugins, it has settings for WooCommerce registration, I see the teh Heteor Social elements are rendering on the B2BKing registration form. If a new customer uses the social login to google or facebook how will B2BKing know what B2B/B2C Group they belong to, as they are able to initiate the social login before selecting a B2BKing customer role? see attached
Indeed our registration cannot work with social login plugins like that, as there's no way to pull data such as the user type, first name, last name, etc.
The social login buttons show up on the B2BKing registration page probably because it uses a standard hook we are also using, but that's just a coincidence.
If you'd like, we can help hide the social login buttons on the B2B registration page with some CSS. For that please send me a link to that registration page, and I can send you some CSS to hide social login on that page only.
Ok, I can understand why it would not work on registration, Heteor has settings for me to exclude the buttons based on whether it's Woo registration, or login form. these are the hooks I suppose being disable/enabled.
However, I found one setting that indicates that Heteor can match the social email to the account email, if that is the case you would think that B2BKing account functionality would not be affected. I guess we can test that out and see, if it does work then we can offer a social login post registration.
Here is what I'm seeing:
Hetero Advanced Configuration plugin page:
Section: Social Account Linking Option
Title: Link your social account to login to your account
Link social account to already existing account, if email address matches [x]
i: If email address of the user's Social Account matches with an already existing account at your website, that social account will be linked to existing account. User would be able to manage this from Social Account Linking interface at their profile page.
I guess we can test that out and see, if it does work then we can offer a social login post registration.
Yes, correct, if you have an already registered customer that already provided their data, it should work for them to use social login, at least in principle.
The setting you mentioned there seems correct - I think that should work.

Thanks. I don't see a way to close tickets, please consider this closed.
