    Hello,

I am considering using the MarketKing plugin for a project and would like to clarify a few details:

    1. Payment Gateway Support: Does MarketKing support the integration of payment gateways like PayHere, which is widely used in Sri Lanka? If yes, can it handle transactions for both buyers and vendors?
    2. Single Account for Buyers and Vendors: Can a user operate as both a buyer and vendor from the same account? If so, how is this managed within the plugin?
    3. Custom Shipping Methods: Apart from the shipping methods listed on your website, does MarketKing support the integration of additional/custom shipping methods?
    4. Multiple Vendor Types: Does the plugin offer support for creating different types of vendors (e.g., normal vendors vs. premium/celebrity vendors)? If yes, how can these types be configured?

Looking forward to your response. Thank you for your assistance!

    Best regards

    Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch with us,

    (1) MarketKing can work with any payment gateway for WooCommerce. If the gateway has an WooCommerce integration or plugin, MarketKing will work fine with it.

Please note that the site admin would receive the funds, and the MarketKing plugin will keep track of how much you owe each vendor. You would make commission payouts to vendors at a later time.

    (2) Yes, a user can be both a seller and a buyer.

There are 2 dashboards, the customer dashboard (usually at site.com/my-account where they can see their purchases as a customer), and a vendor dashboard (at site.com/vendor-dashboard) where they can manage their products, their orders as a vendor, earnings, etc.

So these 2 dashboards control the 2 aspects.

    (3) It depends.

In general, each vendor can use and configure the standard methods such as Flat Rate and configure their own methods and costs.

There are also some supported plugins such as UPS or USPS that allow each vendor to connect.

Now, other plugins are also possible to use but only the admin can configure them. For example the Weight based shipping plugin can be used but only the site admin can configure the shipping methods (and it would apply globally for all vendors).

If you are looking at a specific plugin, please let me know which one and I can provide more details.

    (4) Yes, the plugin achieves this with vendor groups: https://woocommerce-multivendor.com/docs/vendor-groups-group-transfer-rules/

You can have different groups such as normal vendors, top sellers, VIP etc, and then configure different limits, different commissions, features etc for each vendor group.

You can give VIP vendors a better commission, more features, higher product limits, etc.

    Kind regards,

    Stefan
