    Hi guys.

At present I have woocommerce bookings that works with MarketKing but to be honest, my vendors find it very complicated (even though I have comprehensive documentation and video tutorials on it) and I have to say even I find it quite tricky as well at times and I have spent a lot of time with it. This is costing me vendors as they find it too difficult and reflects badly on my business as a result. In order for me to keep MarketKing going forward, is there a better alternative to woocommerce bookings? If not is it possible to custom code another booking plugin that make this work better and be more user friendly?

    Thanks.

    Hi Anthony,

Unfortunately, at this time we don't have a direct alternative booking plugin that we can recommend that works well with MarketKing.

While it is possible to create a custom booking solution through custom development using our developer documentation (https://woocommerce-multivendor.com/docs/developer-documentation-functions-hooks-custom-code-plugin-integrations/), this would be quite complex and would require significant development.

Maybe the best option is creating some simplified documentation or video tutorials focusing only on the essential features that your vendors most commonly need?

    Kind regards,
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have already created video tutorials and plenty of documentation to show people how to use woocommerce bookings but vendors still find it complex and lose patience and therefore I find it really difficult to keep vendors as a result and this means I need to make a decision and quickly about how to move forward.

Previously, I had created a ticket here:

    https://webwizards.ticksy.com/ticket/3539527/

and you had told me that FooEvents and the FooEvents Multi-Day Add-on would be compatible with woocommerce and MarketKing. Is it possible to replace woocommerce bookings with the following bundle:

    https://www.fooevents.com/bundles/bookings-bundle/

The reason I am looking at this is:

    1. The booking plugin looks easier to use for vendors.
    2. I want to enable vendors to sell tickets and create events as I think this will engage vendors better.

My developer says this is all possible but I would like your thoughts on it.

    Thank you!

    Hi Stefan.

I have decided to stick with woocommerce bookings for now as I have other custom integrations applied to it.

However, I'm still interested in getting the Fooevents plugin bundle here:

    https://www.fooevents.com/bundles/premium-bundle/

I understand from your documentation that:

    FooEvents for WooCommerce

    &

    FooEvents Multi-day

    work with woocommerce.

    But does the other plugins:

    FooEvents Custom Attendee Fields

    FooEvents Seating

    FooEvents Calendar

FooEvents PDF Tickets work with MarketKing?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Thanks

    Hi Anthony,

    Thanks for your follow-up question.

Currently, only FooEvents for WooCommerce and FooEvents Multi-day are fully tested and confirmed to work with MarketKing. The other addons you mentioned (Custom Attendee Fields, Seating, Calendar, and PDF Tickets) have not been specifically integrated with MarketKing yet.

Each addon would require its own special integration to work correctly with the vendor system. The main integration challenge is getting all scripts and styles to run on the vendor dashboard - for example you can see how the multi-day scripts are being loaded here:

To do a similar integration, it would be necessary to go over each add-on's scripts and make sure they get loaded correctly on the vendor dashboard.

    Kind regards,
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan.

My plan was to only use fooevents and its plugins only for me (admin) just with the traditional woocommerce and not for vendors at this time. Will this work fine this way?

And if I do decide to integrate this for vendors at a later time, can you give me some guidance on this and I send this onto my developer?

    Thanks for your help Stefan.

    Hi Anthony,

Yes, that should work! You can use FooEvents and its plugins just for admin,

If you decide to integrate it with vendors later on, we can provide technical guidance to your developer regarding the necessary integrations. They would need to focus mainly on ensuring proper script loading in the vendor dashboard and handling the vendor-specific functionality.

    Kind regards,
    Stefan

    Thanks Stefan.

If I decide to give vendors fooevents functionality I'll be in touch about it.

Thanks for your help Stefan 🙏
