    Hi guys.

I wonder is it possible to add a progress bar to the vendor dashboard?

    Please see screenshot below.

I am finding it increasingly difficult to get vendors to fill out their store and to be honest, from a vendor point of view as is, the process simply takes too long.

Vendors want to be able to create a store in a few clicks and or at least see their progress as they go and I feel a progress bar/tracker may be useful here.

How can this be implemented and have you any other way we can create stores quicker?

All vendors receive emails upon registration, documentation is provided in the 'Docs' tab and I'm even creating a flashing tab in their dashboard to alert them to watch a explainer video but vendors simply do not pay heed to this and I am pulling out my hair as a result.

Can you help me simplify this please?

    Thank you.

    Hi Anthony,

Thanks for your feedback and suggestion,

I agree this would help improve the user experience and would be a nice upgrade to the plugin. I've noted this down for future updates.

Until we are able to add something like this, it is possible to add a custom bar by making a change to the plugin's dashboard templates, such as a modification to header-bar.php to add something to the top bar.

    Kind regards,
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan.

I have a developer working on this now and hopefully this will help vendor onboarding.

    Thanks

Hey Anthony! Is this something you could share with us other users? It'd be of great appreciation :)

    Hi Liam.

Me and my developer actually did code a new workflow and it did work fine, however, i replaced MarketKing since with different system, as I felt MarketKing in general needed too much customization to make it work properly for me and it no longer fitted my requirements. Unfortunately, as I created a brand new site, I now no longer have this code.

The only help, I could give you is, I could put you in contact with my developer and they could assist you as they know the MarketKing system really well and they are very good. Hope this helps

Hey Anthony, thanks for getting back to me! Definitely interested in being put in contact with your developer — that'd be a huge help.

Out of curiosity, what kind of pricing do they usually work with? And what were you selling on your site, and what did you end up switching to? Just curious about your setup!

    Thanks again 🙏

    Hi Liam.

My platform was to allow small health and wellness businesses to sell their products and services.

For me the biggest problem was handling vendor payments. Although, I had Stripe split pay on that automatically took care of payments, 99% of the time it worked fine but vendors just didn't take time to understand Stripe and how it worked and they would bombard me with questions about payments etc, even though I had loads of documentation to explain how it all worked. This became too time consuming and although MarketKing in general is a good system, the set-up for vendors is too clunky and hey lose interest as a result.

I now switched to Directorist as now I only want vendors to add listings and Im offering different services.

Regarding price, its hard to put a figure on it as every job is different, but my guy is vey affordable, is very good at what he does and is very accessible.

What kind of business are you setting up? Where are you working from?

Hey Anthony, really appreciate you sharing all of that — honestly super valuable hearing from someone who's been through the same setup. The vendor onboarding friction is exactly what I'm trying to get ahead of before launch.

I'd love to get connected with your developer. I work in Virginia, United States. I'm setting up an AI Asset Marketplace for buyers and creators both called implo.ai .

    Thanks again!

    Hi Liam.

Apologies I'm only getting back to you now. It's been a hectic few weeks. Do you still want me to connect you with my developer? Let me know the best way to pass on the details outside of here.

    All the best

    Anthony
