We are currently building a multi-vendor platform and have a few important queries and feature requests that we would like clarification on:

    1. Product Reservation in Cart
We would like customers to be able to reserve products for a specific time period once they add items to their cart. This prevents other users from purchasing the same item until the reservation time expires.
Please confirm whether this feature is supported or if there is an add-on/solution available.

    2. Product Images in Order Summary & Seller Dashboard
We would like product images to appear in the order summary received by customers, and also to be visible when sellers access their listed products in their respective dashboards.
Could you guide us on how to enable this or advise whether it is included in the current system?

    3. Order Completion & Payment Release Process
At the moment, it seems that sellers have the ability to update/mark orders, but ideally buyers should be able to mark an order as complete first, after which payment should be released to the seller.
We need clarification on how the order flow is intended to work and whether there is an option to enable a buyer-confirmation step before funds are transferred.

We would appreciate guidance on each of the above points, including any required configurations or extensions.

Thank you – looking forward to your response and support.

    Hi Karan,

Thanks for reaching out and for your questions,

    Regarding the points you mentioned:

    1. Product Reservation in Cart: MarketKing does not have a built-in feature to reserve items in the cart. However, since our system works directly on top of WooCommerce, I believe any standard WooCommerce plugin that adds this reservation functionality should work fine alongside MarketKing.

    2. Product Images:
For vendors, they should already be able to view product images on their dashboard in the Products tab. You can see an example of this here: https://prnt.sc/py3yWzc3ezB- and https://prnt.sc/zrsR7JgRNMiX. If you do not see images there, please ensure the vendor dashboard page is excluded from any caching or lazy loading plugins, as that can sometimes cause display issues.

For customers seeing images in the order summary, this is controlled by WooCommerce core templates. If you can find a code snippet or plugin that enables this for WooCommerce, it will work with MarketKing too.

    3. Order Completion: We do have a 'Mark as Received' button for customers available as part of our 'Shipping Tracking' module. You can read more about it here: https://woocommerce-multivendor.com/docs/shipping-tracking/

When customers click that button, the order moves to 'Completed' status, which will automatically release the payment to the seller.

    Kind regards,
    Stefan

Hi, Thanks for support. can you please help me understand about 3rd point?

How this would work? Where the button will be?

    Hi Karan,

Regarding the 'Mark as Received' button:

Customers will find this button by going to My Account -> Orders and clicking on View Order for a specific purchase. The button is on the individual order page there.

When that button is clicked, it automatically changes the order status to 'Completed'. By default in MarketKing, once an order reaches the 'Completed' status, the funds are effectively released and added to the vendor's balance.

    Kind regards,
    Stefan
